Become a Clay Station Member

You can now become a member of Clay Station and take advantage of the fantastic facilities in the studio at Omega Street.  Specific times have been scheduled for members’ exclusive use throughout the week and on a Saturday.  And you don’t have to be an expert to join us!  You just need to have some experience of working with clay as these are not taught sessions, but there will always be an experienced tutor on hand to help and advise.  If you’re a complete beginner you could think about taking one of our courses to learn the basics.

You will find everything you need in the studio.  We have four potters wheels, plenty of space at the workbench, a slab roller, coil extruder, turntables and a whole array of small hand tools.  And of course we have lots of room in our kilns for firing your work.  All this can be yours for an annual membership fee of just £50 and a daily fee of £15 or just £7.50 for a half day.  And you can even buy your materials through us at low prices or get a discount direct from Clayman, so its cost effective all round.

And that’s not all!  Other benefits to membership include a range of events which will include guest speakers, knowledge exchange sessions, skill building workshops and business advice, many of them free to members.  Plus, there will be opportunities for selling and exhibiting your work as part of the group and we will promote you and your work any way we can.

So if you’re an enthusiastic maker then we can provide you with a creative space – alongside other enthusiastic makers –  in which you can develop your work and even your business.  Why don’t you arrange to visit the studio, take a look at the facilities and discuss how membership could benefit you.  It could be the beginning of a very productive partnership.
